Welcome to Duea Motor
The Duea Motor Company building was built in 1906 and at that time was a triple front building housing a blacksmith, a plumber and a feed store. Then on November 6, 1952 the dealership was purchased by Mr. & Mrs. O.J. Duea from Roy F. and Burdette Raub and originally named Duea Chevrolet Company selling only Chevrolet vehicles.
Edward M. Duea joined his father O.J., in June 1954 and was the dealer from 1964-1989.
Five years after opening, in 1957, the Oldsmobile line was added and was a part of the Duea dealership until GM phased out the franchise in the early 2000's.
His son, Michael E. Duea, joined the family operation following completion of an Automotive Marketing degree at Northwood University in May, 1975. He became the dealer in 1986 and he currently holds that position.
The Buick and Pontiac lines were added in 1980 and the company took on the new name of Duea Motor Company.
Greg Dorpinghaus, Mikes brother in law joined the
business in 1990 and worked for Mike in the sales department. In 2004 Greg
and Mike became partners in the business with Greg Buying the dealership in
2007.
